Meet the Therapist

Kathryn (Kayde) Barker, LMT, ESMT, CERT3

In 2015, the owner of Your Best Horse, Kathryn (Kayde) Barker, enrolled at California Holistic Institute and met her mentor, David Goldeen, who is a well-known Myofascial Release Therapist. Kayde found Myofascial Release Therapy to be the most effective treatment for her personal pain and for her clients in the treatment room. After conducting new studies and collaborating with other therapists, Kayde's goal is to provide her clients with therapeutic healing, body awareness, and effective self-care education to enable healing outside of the treatment room.

Kayde has been a State Board-certified therapist, specializing in Myofascial release since 2017. Her experience with MFR helped balance her body and aided in her recovery, which is why she uses her experience to help others out of pain and improve their overall performance and recovery.

Kayde has had a passion for equine bodywork since she was a child. Having massaged and stretched out her horses after each competition, she saw the comfort and relief it brought and from there, a dream was born.

While working with riders at an FEI eventing barn, she crossed paths with FEI equine sports therapist, Christy DiColla. This chance meeting inspired Kayde to pursue a career in equine bodywork. She went on to enroll in The ZENMA equine wellness institute’s MASTER Level 300-hour, equine sports therapy program, where she excelled and graduated with honors. Kayde is now among a select group of certified equine practitioners worldwide who have studied and interned with founder Christy DiColla to learn Equine Rib Entrapment Technique™ and Neuro Fascial Conditioning™, as well as Myofascial Kinetic Line Balancing.
